Little Italy Restaurant switched on the Pizza oven, fire up the kitchen and opened its door to the community of Tonga on 1996, in a Tonganified Pizzeria but now with two floors of 22 hotel rooms on top, walking distance from the previous location. Now, for over a decade, Little Italy Restaurant has prided itself as one of Tonga’s finer restaurants, it’s a beautiful ocean view setting with a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a romantic meal or just somewhere relaxing to enjoy good food. We pride ourselves in offering the finest authentic Italian food at its best, with a variety of pizzas made and baked in the traditional Italian way. There’s different types of pastas which is cooked complemented with a sauce of your choice. The Italian wine selection is the best you can get here in Tonga, In addition, our chef have chosen and also created some beautiful specialties with beef fillet steak, lobster, fish and poultry. The restaurant is open for business 6 days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Sunday is closed for public & open for our house guests only. We welcome you to come visit us, whether for a group lunch or romantic candle light dinner by the pool. The combination of good food, Italian selection of wines and warm and inviting atmosphere means you could only be at Little Italy!

My friend and I visited Tonga during August 2009. The friendly, generous people and their traditional way of life….so different to the rushed, stressed, modern world…. the markets, the scenery, the beaches, the shops, and the slower way of life, all contributed to a completely unique holiday.
Traffic is leisurely and contributed to the overall feeling of relaxation, and we quickly got used to not having to rush around.
We stayed with wonderful friends in their home, and were taken to some fascinating places, including the unusual Nuku’alofa Fishing Club, which we loved. Anyone wanting to unwind and find some peace only has to visit beautiful Tonga.
