The Islands of Vava'u with their safe anchorages and secluded coves offer one of the world's finest year-round sailing holidays in the Pacific. Melinda Sea Adventures has been offering multiple day live-aboard whale watch trips since 1999. Our 52 ft cutter Jocara is equipped with underwater listening equipment to allow guests to listen to and record Humpback whale song. Accommodation onboard the beautiful skippered sailing yacht gives you a unique opportunity to fully explore this stunning tropical island paradise in luxury, or you can charter one of our smaller sailboats that are available as bareboats to explore on your own. There are 40 stunning islands in the Vava'u group. Anchor near a different island each night, snorkel colorful coral reefs teaming with fish, hike through lush tropical forests to vistas overlooking sheer cliffs where the surf crashes in the turqouise water, explore a stretch of beach, poking into tidepools full of marine life, visit uninhabited islands where the birds nest or visit a village. Dine at one of our unique outer island restaurants.
